Billy and the other kids on board arrive at Santa's workshop where Santa gives Billy a sleigh bell. The next morning, on Christmas Day, Billy wakes up at home and finds the sleigh bell under his Christmas tree. Animation in "The Polar Express" reflects the drawings in Chris Van Allsburg's 1986 Caldecott Medal winning book and uses motion capture (using a computer to develop a virtual 3-D image of the actor) to enhance the story. Visually stunning. The film received three Academy Award nominations.
