  The Prophet moves from town to town, playing a deadly game in which riddles are clues to murders. The answers involve famous people who are on the list of those to be killed. Retired Seattle cop Vincent Swan (Dennis Hopper) has suffered at the hands of the Prophet; his own daughter was one of the victims. Now Swan enters the deadly game of cat and mouse, hoping to end the killings.
