Walter (Ray Liotta) has an argument with his wife Deborah (Glenne Headly) after he confesses to an affair with his office assistant (Kira Clavell). Although both have their share of problems (they got together while sharing the same jail cell after a drinking binge), their dependence on each other allows Walt to have a place to live and Skylar to gain a guardian until his parents return.
