But, Yancey realizes that becoming governor would mean he would play a role in defrauding the Indians of their land and mineral rights. He declines the offer, much to the dismay of Sabra.

Ari achieves victory, and now 30,000 more Jews relocate into the Holy Land. Sal Mineo received an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor. One other nomination was received, and the film won an Oscar for Best Cinematography.

"Space Seed" (aired 2/16/1967, stardate 3141.9)-The Enterprise comes across a ship containing survivors from a war in the late 20th century who are in suspended animation–selected "super" people with exceptional powers. Awakened, the leader, Khan, with the help of a crew member who came under his spell, takes over the ship. Now the battle lines are drawn. This episode prompted the second of the "Star Trek" movies: "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan."

It isn't long before Ray and Marge are on the lam–with crooked narcotics agent Antheil (Anthony Zerbe) close behind.
