When a minor league baseball team, North Carolina's Durham Bulls, hires veteran catcher Crash Davis (Kevin Costner) to coach a dumb, however talented, young pitcher Nuke LaLoosh (Tim Robbins), he clashes with free-spirited groupie Annie (Susan Sarandon) who has chosen Nuke as her lover of the season. Super performances by all (especially Sarandon and Costner) in a well-written and fun movie.
