This is a move that is definitely in violation of regulations, Fairweather has no idea of what Dibble has planned for his ship–and the fun begins.

Towers then gives inside information to the police, and, eventually, Meadows is arrested, and Cummings does recover his car.

Hammer Films presents this high-seas adventure about young Jonathan Standing (Kerwin Mathews) who is exiled by his father (Andrew Keir) to a penal colony. The penal colony is invaded by pirates led by Captain LaRoche (Christopher Lee), and Jonathan leads LaRoche and his pirate ship to his Caribbean home where LaRoche believes a treasure is buried. LaRoche takes control of the town while searching for the treasure, and many are killed in the process. Finally, LaRoache finds the treasure–a gold statue of Jonathan's grandfather–and attempts to haul it away. But, Jonathan and his cohorts attack the raft, the statue falls overboard and sinks to the bottom of the sea, La Roche is killed, and the survivors return home.

But, Lytton is not the one who stole the diamond and is, instead, trying to track down the real jewel thief while Claudine sends Clouseau on a wild-goose chase. Meanwhile, Clouseau's boss Chief Inspector Dreyfus (Herbert Lom) gets fed up with Clouseau's ineptness and plots to get rid of him once and for all.

Clouseau believes that Maria is innocent; however, Chief Inspector Dreyfus (Herbert Lom) is sure that she is guilty and is dismayed–once again–at Clouseau's handling of the case. The number of murder victims increases, but Clouseau is convinced that Marie is being framed and remains determined to prove her innocence.

With help from Soapy Stevens (Wilfrid Hyde-White), they perform the heist, but then are faced with the problem of where to store the jewels. They decide to hide them in the warden's safe, and wait to be released. That works, but problems lie in their future.
