Set in the imaginary town of Willard during the 1950s, this satire features an alternate world in which zombies once rose from the dead and threatened all of humanity. But all was not lost; a company named ZomCon came up with a special collar that turns zombies into slaves that do labor for the law-abiding citizens. Eleven-year-old Timmy's (K'Sun Ray) mother Helen (Carrie-Anne Moss) buys a zombie to use as a status symbol, and Timmy bonds with it and names it Fido (Billy Connolly) because it growls at people. Timmy's Dad (Dylan Baker) is not happy with the situation because Fido, who never complains and does one chore after another, is a better father and husband than he is. There is one slipup, however, when Fido's collar malfunctions and he mauls an elderly neighbor, Mrs. Henderson (Mary Black). Now a zombie outbreak threatens the neighborhood.
