| | 1659 - 1685 personal life and tradegies of Charles II | jlgtink 06/14/2007 | Exceptional performance by Rufus Sewell as King Charles II at the Restoration of the Monarchy to England after the 11 reign of the Commonwealth and Oliver Cromwell.
Focusing more on the personal relationships of Charles II with his Privy Council, friends, immediate family, Queen Catherine and mistresses, it is well written, historically accurate and entertaining.
Stellar performances from Rupert Graves, Shirley Henderson, Diana Riggs, McDiarmid and many others. |
