This low budgeter is a good documentary-style slice of life on the streets of a large city. A young actress (Darling Narita) is evicted from her apartment for non-payment of rent. After being taken advantage of during an audition, she runs across a homeless man (Peter Greene) who destroys the auditioner's mailbox. The responding cop also tries to take advantage of her, but instead, she overcomes him and takes his uniform and motorcycle. Now she finds out what people think about cops. 1 User Review

| | Very good | Anonymous 02/08/2007 | For a low-budget flick, it was very entertaining, if a litle violent. The scenes with the East L.A. cholos and lowriders ranged from the hilarious to exciting.
For perks, you see what two extremely attractive actresses, Darling Narita and Lucy Liu, looked like cerca 1995. For the more crass like moi, Narita's got great Eurasian looks, lips and fine thin gammes. Ms. Narita's mesmerizing looks are a bit spoiled by her character's constant cursing and smoking (she made a list or two of women who smoke in flms). Narita is downright hilarious in the cholo scenes but it seems her swearing, besides being distracting, is leaned on too heavily for the more highly charged scenes. Perhaps that's why in her next film, "Pups," the only speaking she did was saying the F-word.
Liked the ending too.
She later directed a film with her mom and one review I saw was good. |
