  In this made-for-HBO miniseries, this is the story of the out-of-wedlock child produced by Julius Caesar and Cleopatra (Timothy Dalton and Leonor Varela), as well as their son's possible selection to be Caesar's successor. This sets off Caesar's assassination with Marc Antony (Billy Zane) and Octavian (Rupert Graves) left to divide the Roman Empire while Cleopatra casts her spell on Marc Antony.

  In this good gangster film, London mob boss Harold Shand (Bob Hoskins) is fighting to keep power in his dangerous world when bombs explode in his Rolls Royce and the pub he owns. Then, a third bomb is discovered in his casino. It is Easter weekend, and Shand appears to be doomed because the IRA is behind the bombings, and he cannot defend himself against their terrorism.

  In the 1890s, cotton exporter James Houston (Christopher Walken) masterminds a plot to take over the New Orleans docks. When police chief David Hennessy (Clancy Brown) stands in the way, he is killed. As a result of the homicide, Sicilian immigrants who work on the New Orleans docks are rounded up for questioning. Eventually, nine go on trial, but all are acquitted. However, the populace does not agree with the verdicts, and a series of lynchings result. This made-for-HBO film is based on a true story.

  Two unemployed actors, Withnail (Richard E. Grant) and Marwood (Paul McGann), like their booze and also need to get away from their dirty, messy flat in London. Withnail talks his rich, eccentric Uncle Monty (Richard Griffiths) into letting them use his cottage, which requires more roughing-it than they want, so they proceed to the nearest pub to drink and meet some of the weird locals. Monty shows up at the cottage and turns out to be pretty strange himself. Set in 1969, this has become somewhat of a cult favorite.
