They meet Juanita Lopez (Estelita Rodriguez) who is attracted to Jesse, and she takes them to mission doctor Maria Frankenstein (Narda Onyx) who happens to be Victor Frankenstein's granddaughter. Of course, Maria is following in her grandfather's footsteps, and she transplants the brain of Frankenstein's original Monster into the head of Tracy. After turning Tracy into the bald zombie, Igor, who terrorizes the townsfolk, a showdown is a certainty.

Now Burns escapes on his horse, and he is chased by Sheriff Morey Johnson (Walter Matthau)–along with jeeps and helicopters–as he heads for the border.

John takes the Benson family (James Gleason, Nancy Gates, and Kim Charney) and the town's sheriff, Tod Shaw (Sterling Hayden), hostage in a house that overlooks the train station–a strategic place for the assassination. As the time for the arrival nears, John gets loonier and loonier. Good film noir.

After clearing up that matter, the Kansas Kid takes on Sunset's crooked partner Sam (John L. Cason) in a boxing match. Sam happens to be the real murderer of Ward's father. The very low budget shows.
