Hot on Catlow's trail is Marshal Ben Cowan (Richard Crenna) who was Catlow's Civil War buddy. Also in pursuit is a killer, Miller (Leonard Nimoy), who has been hired to kill Catlow. The action sequences in this film are very good.

Lots of action scenes in this film that is bad in all respects.

But he gets wind of the fact that his associates intend to kill him after completion of the job, so he beats them to the punch, killing them. However, Chris is wounded in the process. Luckily, he has a perfect nursemaid–Clarisse (Karen Black) to help him recover. One of Lee Van Cleef's weaker films.
