And on it goes until the seductions go full circle, and Franz is back with Leocadie.

  This animated film is adapted from Marjane Satrapi's two autobiographical novels. Her parents (voices of Catherine Deneuve and Simon Abkarian) and grandmother (voice of Danielle Darrieux) are in support of the revolution, and, after learning about Iran's history, Marjane agrees. Later, as a teenager, Marjane (now the voice of Chiara Mastroianni) finds her own ways to rebel–until her parents send her to a boarding school in Vienna. Feeling stranded, Marjane returns to Iran but suffers more under the mullahs and, finally, leaves for France when she is 24 and finds a better life. An Academy Award nomination was received for Best Animation Feature.
