At the Earth's Core 1976 PG, 90 min. Genre: Adventure
Director: Kevin Connor Cast: Doug McClure, Peter Cushing, Caroline Munro, Cy Grant, Godfrey James, Sean Lynch, Bobby Parr, Michael Crane, Keith Barron, Anthony Verner
Based on Edgar Rice Burroughs' novel, this is the adventure of David Innes (Doug McClure) and scientist Abner Perry (Peter Cushing) who take off in Abner's earth-boring machine. The machine is more powerful than thought, and they end up in an underground civilization where the humanoids are slaves to giant winged birds with great powers. Can they save the day? Cheap, but somewhat fun.
