In the midst of a blizzard, four prisoners–Beck (John Leguizamo), Smiley (Ja Rule), Anna (Aisha Hinds), and crime lord Marion Bishop (Laurence Fishburne)–are delivered to Precinct 13 in Detroit on New Year's Eve. A SWAT team is concerned that Bishop will testify against their chief Marcus Duvall (Gabriel Byrne), and the team arrives at the isolated police station plotting to destroy Duvall. Landlines are cut, and cell-phone channels are cut off. Inside the station, in an effort to survive, Sergeant Jake Roenick (Ethan Hawke) and his staff–Jasper O'Shea (Brian Dennehy) and Iris Ferry (Drea de Matteo)–are forced into becoming allies with the prisoners to fight off the assault.

One of Our Own 1998 N/R, 88 min. Genre: Action
Director: David Winning Cast: Michael Ironside, Frederic Forrest, Peta Wilson, Currie Graham, Marshall Bell, Robbie Bowen, Paul Coeur, David Ferry, Richard Riehle, Jorge Vargas
What starts as an investigation of an Army sergeant's murder in Denver expands to include a major weapons scandal of stolen weapons that end up being used against the allied forces in Bosnia. Not bad, considering the low budget for explosion-driven action films like this.
