The two women form a relationship with the very unhappy Willie Hart (Janice Rule), and the ensuing friendship forms the basis for this film's plot. Excellent performances.

They join in the game, and, after Francha and Vivia are killed, Essex tries to stay alive but becomes obsessed with the game.
