  In this live-action adaptation of the animated film, Blood: The Last Vampire (2000), half-vampire, half-human Saya (Gianna Jun) has been hunting demons and vampires for over 400 years. Now, the Council has sent Saya to a U.S. military base in Tokyo where she befriends a general's daughter, Alice McKee (Alison Miller), and battles the demon vampire Onigen (Koyuki).

She meets French pirate Jean Aubrey (Anthony Delon), falls in love with him, deceives husband Sir Harry (James Fleet), and heads off on a high-seas adventure with Jean Aubrey. It is only later that Lady Dona questions the wisdom of leaving husband and family in her quest for love and adventure.
