Frank Ginetta (Kirk Douglas) is an old-line Mafioso on the board of the New York syndicate. Frank's younger brother, Vince (Alex Cord), enters the scene and has many new ideas to modernize the operation. When Frank doesn't go along with Vince's plans, Vince tries to get his father-in-law Dominick Bertolo (Luther Adler) to encourage mob members to rebel. This is the family film that was the precursor to the "Flipper" series on TV. It is the story of a dolphin, Flipper, that is saved by young Sandy Ricks (Luke Halpin). When Sandy's father, Porter (Chuck Connors), insists that Flipper be set free, the friendship between boy and pet remains, and eventually Flipper gets a chance to return the favor of being saved.
