  In this animated film, a domesticated grizzly bear, Boog (voice of Martin Lawrence), had been living in park ranger Beth's (Debra Messing) garage until Beth believed he should be set free. Now out on his own, Boog lacks survival skills and welcomes deer friend Elliot's (voice of Ashton Kutcher) aid in escaping from redneck hunter Shaw (Gary Sinise). The two form a bond and try to rid the forest of hunters.

But Shrek wants his privacy and makes a deal with Lord Farquaad to take Donkey (voice of Eddie Murphy) with him to rescue the beautiful Princess Fiona (voice of Cameron Diaz) who will then be exchanged for Shrek's sole rights to the swamp. "Shrek" was the first winner of an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.

The King and Queen are shocked to learn that their daughter is married to an ogre and that she has become one too. It doesn't take long for Fairy Godmother (voice of Jennifer Saunders) to send that delightful killer cat, Puss In Boots (voice of Antonio Banderas), on a mission to get rid of Shrek so that Fiona will marry Fairy Godmother's son, Prince Charming (voice of Rupert Everett). But plans go awry, and, by story's end, Puss In Boots is working with Shrek instead of against him. The film received two Academy Award nominations, including Best Animated Feature.

So, Shrek heads out–with Donkey (voice of Eddie Murphy) and Puss In Boots (voice of Antonio Banderas) in tow–in search of his wife's, Princess Fiona (Cameron Diaz), teenage cousin Artie (voice of Justin Timberlake) at his boarding school. Meanwhile, Fiona, who is pregnant, is left to fend off a palace coup staged by Prince Charming (voice of Rupert Everett) who has assistance from fairy tale villains including Captain Hook, the Evil Queen, Rumplestiltskin, the Big Bad Wolf, and the Headless Horseman. But, Fiona and her mother Queen Lillian (voice of Julie Andrews) get help from Cinderella, Rapunzel, Snow White, and Sleeping Beauty in their valiant effort to retake the kingdom.
