This is a pretty good depiction of the problems evolving from racism, but overall it doesn't do justice to Wolfe's novel.

Kennedy won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in this film, and Newman was nominated for Best Actor. Policeman: "What we've got here is failure to communicate."

But, her efforts often turn out to be more destructive than constructive in Bond's mission to thwart Scaramanga. Not one of the best of the Bond films, but there are some great stunts.

Meanwhile, Kilvinsky is planning to retire and wants to train Roy so that he can take his place on the force. With Dorothy gone and police pressures on his mind, Roy finds relief in a new girlfriend Lorrie (Rosalind Cash), but more problems lie ahead.
