Jimi's (Christopher Lambert) latest virtual reality computer game becomes infected with a virus that causes the game's hero, Solo (Diego Abatantuono), to have human consciousness. Solo pleads to be destroyed, but the master copy has been provided to his bosses for distribution. Furthermore, the company has many safeguards to protect their products. Jimi, with help from hackers, must play his own reality game to get to his program and destroy Solo.
