Claire and Hailey (Emma Roberts and JoJo) are best friends who fear the end of summer when Hailey will be leaving Florida to live in Australia where her marine-biologist mother (Claudia Karvan) has a research grant. In desperation, Claire and Hailey pray to the hurricane god for help, and the next morning their prayers are answered when a huge wave washes mermaid Aquamarine (Sara Paxton) out of the bay and into Claire's swimming pool. Mermaids possess powers to grant wishes, and Aquamarine makes a deal with the girls: if they help her attract a certain good-looking lifeguard (Jake McDorman), she will grant them their wish. But, everything must be accomplished in a mere three days. 1 User Review
