Detective Sam Dietz (Leo Rossi) is back–this time with new partner Jessica Parreti (Colleen Coffey)–and on the trail of a killer who performs ritualistic executions on his female victims. They consult with a psychiatrist, Dr. Sara Lee Joffe (Famke Janssen), who specializes in sexual pathology. At first, she offers little help, but her files provide the key to solving the case when it is learned that her brother has been institutionalized, off and on, for much of his life.
