This is the made-for-TV version of the 1955 event in which an African-American woman, Rosa Parks, sat in the White section of a Montgomery, Alabama bus. This started an extensive black boycott of the busses and fired up the civil rights movement, bringing Martin Luther King's work to the forefront. Jeffrey Wright's portrayal of Martin Luther King is particularly good.

As he balances between life and death, his old crew gets together to track down the gunman. Those who watched the series will get more out of the dialogue than the others who do not know much about the series' episodes.

The team encounters many problems along the way–including Montel making an offer on live-TV of $1 million to anyone who can get him out of police custody. A well-made police action thriller.

Even though his failure is for the wrong reason, Garrison is relieved of his duties. But, Garrison perseveres in trying to save the President's life, and his efforts lead to a confrontation with his once-good friend and fellow agent David Breckinridge (Kiefer Sutherland).
