Mentally unstable Dennis (Anthony Perkins) has recently been released from prison after having burned down a house–with his aunt in it. He gets a job in a small town and meets perky, high-school student Sue Ann (Tuesday Weld). To impress Sue Ann, he tells her that he is a government agent. Sue Ann, who isn't what she appears to be, teams up with him in order to execute her own agenda. She starts by shooting her mother. Good performance by Tuesday Weld.
