Meanwhile, Mrya has become the accomplice of a quack, Doc Ansell (Jim Broadbent) and enters the real world of magic.

He has been raised by an enlightened couple–the philosopher, Hermocrates (Ben Kinglsey), and his sister, Dontine (Fiona Shaw)–who have taught him enlightenment principles and to detest the princess because of what she represents.
