To make their house a home and protect the property, Joe joins forces with the other tenants who elect him president of the "co-op." Joe is asked to evict long-time squatter Carlos DeJesus (Paul Calderon) who has lived in the building longer than anyone else. But, Joe's attempts at mediation meet with little success.

Meanwhile, Rebecca has been searching for her birth mother, and their lives cross when, in the course of the Rebecca's work, she is told about the D.J. called "Sleepy Time Gal." Good performances enhance this film.
