Green Beret Captain Norman Hopper (John Saxon) rescues two of his men who are POWs in Vietnam and finds them eating human flesh. Years later, Charlie (Giovanni Lombardo Radice), one of the POWs, breaks out of the mental hospital and causes a commotion when he bites a woman. It turns out that he had contracted a virus in Vietnam, and now his cannibalism is spreading throughout the community. Norman, who was bitten when he made the rescue, is also in trouble. Typical of Italian filmmaker Antonio Margheriti's work.
