While serving as an American bomber pilot during World War II, David Halloran (Harrison Ford) is in England where he meets and falls in love with Margaret Sellinger (Lesley-Anne Down) during an air raid. After their plane is shot down over France, David realizes that Paul's wife is Margaret, but they must work together if they are going to find the means for survival.
