Not as hilarious as the first movie, but it does have some amusing gags. Cameo appearances by Raymond Burr, Chuck Connors, and Sonny Bono, among others.

Burl Ives won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.

Despite the title, director, and cast, this is not a sequel to "Support Your Local Sheriff."
