  Craig (Ice Cube) has just been fired but has no motivation to find a new job, and his friend Smokey (Chris Tucker) lives to smoke joints. Smokey has his own problems involving $200 worth of marijuana that he was given to sell but smoked himself. Now he has no money to pay the dope dealer, and payment is due that night. This film does manage to present some good humor from the lives of those in the dreary world of Los Angeles' not-so-successful residents as Craig and Smokey encounter a variety of misfits while hanging out on Craig's front stoop.

  In this sequel, Kid (Christopher Reid) is planning to marry his girlfriend Veda (Angela Means), and Play (Christopher Martin) is managing the female rap act, "Sex as a Weapon" that he books with promoter Showboat (Michael Colyar) for a show. When "Sex as a Weapon" fires Play, he knows that it will upset Showboat if they do not appear for his show and tries to find a way to get them to perform. Meanwhile, Play arranges Kid's bachelor party, and, of course, after a number of problems, the big bash does take place providing fun for all.

Genevieve (Noemie Lenoir), on whose head are tattooed details of the Triad, holds the key to solving the case. And the action continues!
