  This is the second remake of the tragic tale of bullfighter Juan Gallardo (Christopher Rydell) who forsakes his loyal wife Carmen (Ana Torrent) and follows the wiles of a less-than-honorable woman Dona Sol (Sharon Stone). When Dona Sol leaves Juan for a younger man, it is Carmen who comes to his aid, and Juan sets out to enter the bullring for one last fight that is destined to end in tragedy.

Also in town is rock-singer Peter Fitzpatrick (Liam Dunaway O'Neill (son of Faye Dunaway)) who used to be involved with Agnes but is now running around with Jen (Sara Stanton (niece of Harry Dean Stanton)). Meanwhile, Roland (Christopher Rydell (son of director Mark Rydell)) works for Jen's father (Tim Habeger) and would love to be her significant other, and then there's the Bible salesman (David Carradine) who is an alcoholic preacher.

  This story is about growing up and growing old as seen through a man and his daughter who has a rocky past. Henry Fonda plays Norman Theyer, an old man with a feisty attitude, and Jane Fonda stars as his insecure daughter Chelsea. There is plenty of humor with touching moments in this excellent film. Katharine Hepburn as Ethel, Norman's understanding wife, received an Oscar for Best Actress. Henry Fonda also won an Oscar for Best Actor. In addition to one other Oscar for Screenplay, there were seven nominations, including Best Picture, Supporting Actress (Jane Fonda), and Director.

  After rescuing anorexic Aura (Asia Argento) when she threatened a suicidal leap off a bridge, David (Christopher Rydell) vows to protect her. Aura returns to her parents–Adriana and Stefan (Piper Laurie and Dominique Serrand)–who are professional mediums. That night, during a seance, Adriana is possessed by a spirit that identifies a serial killer in their midst. She runs outside, followed by Stefan and, later, by Aura who spots the killer holding up what she believes to be the severed heads of Adriana and Stefan. A psychopath is on the loose, and David helps Aura solve the mystery.
