Katharine Hepburn as Ethel, Norman's understanding wife, received an Oscar for Best Actress. Henry Fonda also won an Oscar for Best Actor. In addition to one other Oscar for Screenplay, there were seven nominations, including Best Picture, Supporting Actress (Jane Fonda), and Director.

That night, during a seance, Adriana is possessed by a spirit that identifies a serial killer in their midst. She runs outside, followed by Stefan and, later, by Aura who spots the killer holding up what she believes to be the severed heads of Adriana and Stefan. A psychopath is on the loose, and David helps Aura solve the mystery.
