This is the classic film about an enemy, The Thing (James Arness), from outer space whose UFO has crashed at an Arctic radar post. There are several old-time stars in this Western, which brings a gunslinger (Rory Calhoun) home, after a long absence, with a gang on his tail. His son (Preston Pierce) has his own gang at home and relations are strained as dad tries to make up. After finding out why he left, the son repents and rides to save dad, who's being chased by the gang who has now caught up with him.
