  Three childhood friends–Michael (Freddie Prinze, Jr.), Carmine (Scott Caan), and Bobby (Jerry Ferrara)–grew up in Brooklyn and are now in their twenties with different goals in life. Michael is studying to be a lawyer, and Bobby wants a job at the post office. Carmine is trying to impress mobster Caesar Manganaro (Alec Baldwin) and has fallen in with the Gambino family operation. Now, a mob war breaks out, and the Mafia becomes a factor in the young men's lives that threatens their long friendship.
