Glen (Stephen Dorff) and his sister, Al (Christa Denton), are allowed to stay home for the first time when their parents leave for the weekend. It appears that the hole is actually a gate to Hell from which little demons come to the surface and create havoc as they prepare for the arrival of the Demon Lord. Likeable kids and good special effects. There is a sequel: "The Gate II: Trespassers."
