But, as Crewe and fellow prisoner Caretaker (Chris Rock) begin working with their team of convicts, Crewe decides to go for the win.

They have plans to fly back to Manhattan on a plane that has been reconstructed by their penguin pals. The plane takes off, but they only get as far as an African wildlife preserve where Alex reunites with his mom (voice of Sherri Shepherd) and dad (voice of Bernie Mac) who Alex has not seen since he was stolen from them when he was just a cub. Alex must now deal with his dad's rival Makunga (voice of Alec Baldwin), and the zoo animals use their diversity to overcome all obstacles as they come in contact with their wild counterparts in this story showing the value of distinctiveness being a virtue.

Unknown to Betty, that Buick just happens to contain the drugs that Del stole from Charlie and Wesley. Hence, those two are in hot pursuit. Along the route–the Grand Canyon, to be precise–Charlie begins to fantasize about a romance with Betty. Once in L.A., Betty is mistaken for an ambitious actress, and the fun begins.
