In 1998, "Star Wars" fans–Hutch (Dan Fogler), Zoe (Kristen Bell), Eric (Sam Huntington), Windows (Jay Baruchel), and Linus (Chris Marquette)–set off from Ohio on a road trip that will feature chase scenes, a night in jail, and even a brawl with Trekkies. The purpose of the trip is to break into George Lucas' Skywalker Ranch to get their hands on "Star Wars: Episode I–The Phantom Menace," which is not scheduled for release for a few more months. Linus has terminal cancer and may not be alive on the release date. So, the only way for him to see the much anticipated film is for his friends to steal it and allow Linus to watch the film before he dies.
