Good student John Carluccio (Paul Carafotes) also plays football for his high school. After he is diagnosed with partial deafness, he is told by the school that he can no longer play football. This alienates John and causes him to get in with the wrong crowd. That girlfriend of John's is Demi Moore in her first film, brief though it is.
