  Based on events in the life of World War I flying ace Eddie Rickenbacker (who also created the comic strip character of Ace Drummond), Ace (John "Dusty" King) is a flying G-man who is sent to Mongolia to uncover the identity of a villain known as "The Dragon." While there, he meets Peggy (Jean Rogers) who is searching for her missing father. It takes 13 episodes, but together they take care of both problems.

  Jim Traft (Benny Baker) meets Jim Travis (Tom Keene) at a rodeo and tells Travis of his troubles with cattle rustlers. But Travis must not only fight the rustlers, but he needs to convince neighbor Slinger Dunn (Buster Crabbe) that the fence must be built. Travis wins not only the battle of the rustlers but also wins the love of Slinger's sister, Molly (Katherine DeMille).

  Lon Chaney Jr. plays "Dynamo" Dan McCormick who is a carnival side-show performer using his immunity from absorbing large volts of electricity as his act. After riding on a bus that crashes into an electric pole, Dan is the sole survivor. Dan recuperates at the home of mad scientist Dr. Paul Rigas (Lionel Atwill) where Rigas uses him for experiments and turns Dan into a "man made monster" controlled by Rigas. When Rigas' colleague Dr. John Lawrence (Samuel S. Hinds) wants him to stop the experiment, Rigas orders Dan to kill him. The deed is done, but Dan is arrested and sentenced to the electric chair where he absorbs the electricity and again becomes a superhuman–now ready to seek revenge.

  Gem collector Brendan Edwards (Morgan Wallace) possesses the "Eye of the Daughter of the Moon," which is the largest star sapphire in the world. The gem has been stolen from China, and Edwards has received a death threat. He calls in Mr. Wong (Boris Karloff) for help, and, during a game of charades, Edwards is shot dead, and the star sapphire disappears. Mr. Wong and Inspector Sam Street (Grant Withers) sort out the evidence, expose the killer, and Mr. Wong returns the gem to China.
