  Tom Meyer (Jason London), a rookie paramedic in New York, is assigned Jimmy Warzniak (Todd Field) as his partner. But Jimmy is a sociopath who uses heroin and cocaine to get through the ordeals of his work. It doesn't take long for Tom to be faced with the decision of whether or not to solve his problems in the same manner that Jimmy does.
