  Matt (Elijah Wood) takes the fall for his roommate's cocaine possession and is expelled from Harvard. With time on his hands, Matt moves to London to live with his sister, Shannon (Claire Forlani), and her husband, Steve (Marc Warren). It does not take long for Matt to get to know Steve's brother Pete (Charlie Hunnam), and that experience leads to Matt's introduction into the world of "firms," which regular guys join and then fight other firms on weekends during soccer season. The Green Street Hooligans represents one firm in this story that involves loyalty amidst violence in the world of football rivals living on the edge.

All is not lost; Nicholas and his friend, Smike (Jamie Bell), escape and set out to reunite the Nicklebys.
