In this animated adventure based on Mark Twain's classic novel, the characters are presented as animals. For example, Tom (voice of Rhett Akins) and Becky (voice of Lee Ann Womack) are cats, while Huck (voice of Mark Wills) is a fox. As in Twain's story, Tom falls in love with Becky; Tom and Huck step in and save the accused after witnessing a murder; and, of course, they find that buried treasure. The young ones should like this toe-tapping, western-music filled with songs by Hank Williams Jr., Waylon Jennings, and Lee Ann Womack.

Director: James Bridges Cast: John Travolta, Debra Winger, Scott Glenn, Madolyn Smith Osborne, Charlie Daniels, Bonnie Raitt, Barry Corbin, Cooper Huckabee, James Gammon, Brooke Alderson, Mickey Gilley, Johnny Lee, Betty Murphy, Taz Di Gregorio, Charlie Haywood
Country boy Buford "Bud" Davis (John Travolta) moves to Houston, Texas, and takes a job as a refinery worker. He spends his evenings at Gilley's Club on the outskirts of town where he acts out his cowboy fantasies. He also meets and marries Sissy (Debra Winger), but problems arise almost immediately when Bud believes that Sissy is seeing a mechanical bull-riding cowboy Wes (Scott Glenn). Sissy tells Bud that she wants him to prove he is a real cowboy, and when Mickey Gilley (himself) announces a bull-riding contest, Bill signs up hoping to win the contest and Sally as well. This is the film that made the mechanical bull so popular in bars.
