A distraught woman (Charlotte Gainsbourg) enters a police station and confesses to the murder of her husband's first wife–but that wife died two years previously. The rest of this remake of "Gaslight" is told in flashbacks: after coming to the U.S. from Europe, our heroine meets and marries Nick (Charles Edwin Powell). Soon after she finds out his first wife had been murdered, strange things go on in and around their apartment. Is she going crazy?
