  Rodeo performer Junior Bonner (Steve McQueen) has passed his prime and returns home to Prescott, Arizona, where he finds that his parents, Ace and Elvira (Robert Preston and Ida Lupino), are breaking up their marriage, and his brother Curley (Joe Don Baker) is striking it rich selling off parcels of the family's land. Trying to regain his self-esteem, Junior enters the town's Fourth of July rodeo and wins the bull-riding event. Now, Junior buys an airplane ticket with the winnings and heads to Australia for more rodeos.

  In this sci-fi horror story, Mercury poisoning from industrial pollution is ruining the land and threatening inhabitants of Maine. The EPA asks Dr. Robert Verne (Robert Foxworth) to mediate between the polluting paper mill and the Native American tribes who are being affected. He travels to Maine with his wife Maggie (Talia Shire) and meets Native American activist John Hawkes (Armand Assante). Together, they discover numerious wildlife mutations and a mutant bear in the terror-filled land.

  This is an insightful Western about kind-but-not-so-bright cowboys Ross Bodine and Frank Post (William Holden and Ryan O'Neal) who rob a bank and head for safety in Mexico. But, their boss, rancher Walter Buckman (Karl Malden), sends his sons John and Paul (Tom Skerritt and Joe Don Baker) with the posse in pursuit, and the flight from justice proves fatal.
