It doesn't take long for Dave to learn how to run the government and promote changes he feels will improve the country. Tom's new manager is a wheelchair-bound paraplegic, Chip (Jason Bateman), who just happens to be Sofia's high-school boyfriend. To make matters worse, Tom is sure that Chip is scheming to get Sofia back. In an effort to clear the air, Tom sets out to prove that Chip's disability is not for real, and many problems rise to the fore in the process.

Joe's body is cremated before the error can be corrected, and, to make up for the error, archangel Mr. Jordan (James Mason) offers to place his soul in the body of Leo Farnsworth whose wife Julia (Dyan Cannon) and secretary Tony Abbott (Charles Grodin) have plotted his demise. Environmentalist Betty Logan (Julie Christie) convinces Joe to assume Leo's body, and, because he is attracted to her, he agrees. The deed is done. Joe hires his coach Max Corkle (Jack Warden) to get him in shape, straightens out Farnsworth's affairs, and struggles to get on the Rams' line-up. Meanwhile, Julia and Tony, who are sure they murdered Farnsworth, are trying to figure out just what is happening. The film won an Oscar for Best Art Direction and was nominated for eight others, including Best Picture, Actor (Beatty), Supporting Actor (Warden), Supporting Actress (Cannon), and Director.

They arrive on the island, run into King Kong, and Dwan becomes the object of Kong's attention. Wilson locks Kong up in the cargo hold of the ship and brings him to New York City where Kong escapes and climbs the World Trade Center looking for safety.

After their friend Hutch (Maurice Evans) tells Rosemary that Roman and Minnie are members of a coven of witches, Rosemary realizes that she is being victimized. Finally, Rosemary delivers a healthy baby–SATAN! Ruth Gordon won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.

Yes, Jimmy finds the filofax and starts the search for Spencer to claim the reward that is offered for the return of the filofax. In the process, he ends up assuming Spencer's identity. Low-level fun, but the Cubs in the World Series? Get real.
