Camille (Nils Hugon) feels neglected and, thus, frequently lives in his own fantasy world. On this ninth birthday, he announces that he in not really Camille, but Paul, a boy who had drowned two years previously. He even takes his mother (Isabelle Huppert) to Paul's home and demonstrates his detailed knowledge of the place–including Paul's mother (Jeanne Balibar). Has Paul really come back and taken over Camille's body?
