Happiness (Forest Whitaker) is a business executive who is told a race is rigged and bets everything. Sorrow (Sara Michelle Gellar) is pop singer Trista who faces losing her career when she cuts off all ties to her manager. Love (Kevin Bacon) is a doctor who must treat Gina (Julie Delpy) who had turned him down romantically. Last but not least, Pleasure (Brendan Fraser) is a criminal who deals with his premonitions and his failure to change the future.

In the meantime, the body was buried in the west Texas desert, was found, and once again buried in the town cemetery. Pete kidnaps Norton and forces him to dig up the body and then help him bring the corpse across the border into Mexico to be buried in his hometown.
