This made-for-cable-TV film is set in upstate New York shortly after the end of World War II. Harriet (Penelope Ann Miller) and daughter Carrie (Ashley Rose Orr) grieve over the death of their husband/father during the war. This is the story of how each copes, as Carrie comes of age and Harriet finds a new love–to the dismay of Carrie.
