Years later, Jean Fouchecourt (Pascal Greggory)–who is a senior partner in the law firm for which Melanie is a file clerk–hires Melanie to be his son's live-in nanny. Jean's wife turns out to be Ariane. But Ariane does not remember Melanie and even employs her as her page turner for the upcoming radio broadcast with her musical trio. Meanwhile, Ariane learns to rely on Melanie who, in turn, waits for the right moment to exploit the situation.
