Amelia's son is getting married in Mexico, and she opts to take the American children across the border for the wedding. But, as luck would have it, problems present themselves when the group attempts to re-cross the border. Cate Blanchett shines in her story impersonating Dylan as a folk-singer during his electric rock era. Finally, there is the reclusive Billy (Richard Gere) who finds sanctuary in a tiny Missouri town that is on the verge of being turned into a superhighway. Together, the characters represent roles that Dylan played during his lifetime, and the result is an enjoyable film. Blanchett received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
